About

Oscar Tuazon's work is commonly positioned as existing between art and architecture. His minimalist forms and commitment to materiality provide quiet mediation on the structure and experience of space. The use of natural wood and stone with concrete, glass and steel give his sculptural compositions a timeless quality. Regular outdoor projects, often playful interventions in public spaces such as parks and gardens, capture a resourcefulness evidenced by the artist's various experiments in living 'off-the-grid'. Allowing these investigations into ideas of function and economy to manifest in his work, Tuazon finds a balance between hands-on making and concept-driven practice.
