The Collection’s activities in Sarvisalo are on private grounds and are not set up to receive visitors. We aim to accommodate group visits organised in advance and on our specially organised biennial Tour Day in the summer. Booking is essential. Maximum group size is 60.
On Tour Days, visitors are asked to join an organised group tour led by a member of the Collection's team to visit three locations on the island and receive an informative and informal introduction to artists' works. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own picnics for the day, or enjoy refreshments from a special café set up for the occasion.
Dates and details of each Tour Day are announced several months before and groups will receive confirmation of their booking as well as a schedule for the day in advance of their arrival to allow them to plan their trip.
Groups will be asked to coordinate their own transport and manage their journey around the island in collaboration with a representative from the Collection. Some of the installations may not be accessible all year.
Sarvisalo is less than two hours' drive from Helsinki and is connected to the mainland by a bridge. Cars may only be parked in designated areas and we encourage car-sharing as space is limited. Please note that due to the uneven terrain of the different locations many of the works are not accessible to visitors with impaired sight or mobility.
