This weekend the Whitechapel Gallery hosts Reality Czech: The Czech Avant-Garde Now, a special screening of short films by Czech artists curated by Michaela Freeman. Tereza Bušková, who worked closely with Zabludowicz Collection on our 2009 exhibition A Tradition I Do Not Mean To Break, will present Baked Woman of Doubice , 2012, a film that distills Czech folk traditions into a fictitious baking ritual celebrating fertility and motherhood. Anchoring the programme is Libor Nemeškal's recent documentary looking at Czech independent cinema.

Reality Czech: The Czech Avant-Garde Now will take place at Whitechapel Gallery on 14 November at 2pm. It is part of the Made In Prague programme organised by the Czech Centre. For more information please visit the Czech Centre website.

Tereza Bušková's editions Ostara and The Hare, 2009, and Baked Spring, 2010, are available to buy now from the Zabludowicz Collection shop.
