We are delighted to support Matthew Darbyshire: An Exhibition For Modern Living as part of an ongoing partnership between Zabludowicz Collection and Manchester Art Gallery. Matthew Darbyshire creates work addressing the aesthetic and cultural impact of consumerism, and the curation of our everyday lives. The Zabludowicz Collection has loaned a number of works for display, including the exhibition's namesake installation An Exhibition For Modern Living, 2011, previously shown at the British Art Show 7. Drawing on the forms and tastes of aspirational interiors, An Exhibition For Modern Living will be shown alongside further Zabludowicz Collection works Standardised Production Clothing, Versions 1-10, 2009, and Smoking Shelter, 2012. The exhibition also includes new work from Darbyshire's recent CAPTCHA series, and previous installations reinvigorated with artefacts from the Manchester City Collections.

This exhibition coincides with the launch of a partnership between Manchester Art Gallery and the Zabludowicz Collection which will showcase some of the very best international contemporary art from our collection in Manchester. Matthew Darbyshire: An Exhibition For Modern Living opens 25 September 2015 and continues until 10 January 2016. For further information please visit the Manchester Art Gallery website.

Matthew Darbyshire's latest edition Seated Nude, 2014, is available for purchase now from the Zabludowicz Collection shop.
