About

A landmark exhibition surveying the career of British artist Michael Landy will feature a number of works loaned by the Zabludowicz Collection. Michael Landy: Out of Order at Museum Tinguely, Basel, is the first museum exhibition documenting Landy's versatile output since he emerged as a key member of the Young British Artists (YBAs) in the early 1990s. Working across a vast range of media, from performance to pencil drawings, Landy is known for dealing with our relationship to consumer culture in powerful and suprising ways. We are delighted to loan several works that take inspiration from the acclaimed performance piece Homage to New York by the Museum Tinguely's namesake artist Jean Tinguely. Also on loan will be Multiple Death, 2013, created during Landy's residency with the National Gallery, London, and a group of drawings from his 2015 exhibition Breaking News, amongst other works.

Michael Landy: Out of Order will be open from 8 June to 25 September 2016 at Museum Tinguely, Basel. For further information please visit the Museum Tinguely website.
