About

We are delighted to support Hurvin Anderson: Backdrop at the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, with the loan of Peter's Sitter 2. An example of the artist's series of paintings capturing anonymous figures having their hair cut, Peter's Sitter 2 is an homage to the artist's childhood in the Afro-Caribbean community in Birmingham, England. It will be shown alongside works drawing on many aspects of Anderson's career, including work produced during a residency in Trinidad, diaristic photographs, and never-before-seen sculptural work expanding his interest in identity and domesticity. The show continues until 27 December 2015. Further information is available on the Contemporary Art Museum St Louis website.
