About

While her exhibition remains closed, Trulee Hall has curated a trilogy of online screenings, showcasing a selection of works by artists whose practices she admires and whose work influences or has a synergy with her own. The screenings venture through pioneering experimental animation, the complexities of female sexuality, trippy science fiction, and virtual realities, with a different programme each week.

The first programme explores subjectivity and empowerment. Drawing on the vernacular of theatre, the wellness industry and video games, these films journey through imagined, virtual and impossible scenarios, examining and questioning received identity and power structures.

Suzan Pitt, Asparagus (1979), 20 mins
Shana Moulton, MindPlace ThoughtStream (2014), 12 mins
Ericka Beckman, Hiatus (1999/2015), 20 mins
