About

Over the first week of the Easter Holidays artist Rachael Champion and over twenty children from the local area came together to build an outdoor oven using the traditional building material of cob and reclaimed bricks and masonry on Kentish Town City Farm.

To celebrate the completion of the oven, come join us at Kentish Town City Farm's annual May Day Festival, where we will be firing up the oven and making fresh pizzas and if you're into baking, bring along some sour dough and bake your own bread!

Alongside this, the farm will be putting on a host of activities for a fantastic family day, including pony rides, face painting, a barbecue, a tug of war, live music, children's games and felt-making, as well as the customary favourites such as the appearance of a Green Man and dancing round the may pole.

This year ZOOFARI joins in the celebrations with the exotic animals they rescue, including chincilla, raccoon, python, skunk, iguana and tarantula. Instead of admiring from afar you can interact with the animals, listen to their stories and even get to stroke them!

Entrance to the festival is £1 for adults. 30pence for children. ZOOFARI costs £3 per person. All money raised is put towards running costs for the farm.
