Frieze Week 2010 - Friday

15 October 2010

The crazy week was starting to quiet down at last. We had a second VIP morning at 176 with some very special visitors... Stephen Snoddy came from the New Art Gallery in Walsall to confirm that Toby’s show will tour to his museum in 2011! We are all over the moon!

Then I was kidnapped by my little Sis Yana to Camden Arts to see The René Daniëls show which is magnificent. I felt once again Jenny had challenged us all, she is a magnanimous teacher at heart.

Then lunch followed by a quick walk around the Decorative fair and then a quick visit to Tracey in Hospital. Who was surrounded, or should I say engulfed, by so many flowers it was hard to see her.

The end of the day ended up at Art Review Power 100 party. Most of the gang were there, with more artists than at any other party this week. A very proud Mark Glimcher was there with Keith Tyson and showed us his beautiful new work. David Risley was hiding in the back room and he was very content as he has officially taken Dexter Dalwood now plus two other great things I cannot tell yet. Niru Ratman said some really lovely things about me and Amir Shariat told Poju he looked like a pop star rather than a gangster in his photo so he was happy, as he was a little worried earlier on about his dramatic appearance with those dark glasses!
