Felix Art Fair
First stop Felix Art Fair, where there was much to see. I liked the works by Kaz Oshiro at Galerie Frank Elbaz

Shockingly what looked like dead mice in a plastic bag turned out to be a work by Darren Bader

Matthew Brown Gallery were showing work by an interesting artist, Dan Herschlein, who creates psychological scenes using plaster relief on wood panel

Always fun to visit Carl Kostyál and loving this work by Hein Koh called ‘Blueberry Lagoon’

At Company Gallery in the bathroom there was a hidden gem by Hayden Dunham
Felix Art Fair
C L E A R I N G were showing the stunning moonwalker by Jean-Marie Appriou

I also admired the skin by Calvin Marcus

At Roberts Projects I encountered the work of Lenz Geerk. His wonderfully emotive paintings are void of a specific time or place, focusing on the subject and their psyche
Felix Art Fair
They were also showing a gem of a painting by Noah Davis, a gifted young artist who sadly passed away in 2015. Davis and his wife Karen founded The Underground Museum a not-for-profit space in 2012. The artist run space in LA is made up of a series of interconnected storefronts
Felix Art Fair
Great to see this stunning Alessandro Pessoli at Anton Kern
Felix Art Fair
A lovely surprise was Fomo Haber gallery from Athens, they had some interesting artists under their belt (and desk!). After some research I discovered I was looking at an art installation. The brainchildren of artist Darren Bader, who once injected a burrito with heroin and called it art. The works, however, are for sale, and they are selling

A highlight for me was entering Kenny Schachter’s happy space with the afternoon LA light pouring through the windows
Felix Art Fair
I loved the work by Adrian Schachter. Strongly defined in the same way I would view an Ida Ekblad painting, full of personal symbols which are only apparent to the artist
Felix Art Fair
I really liked this work, pieces of wood made with intricate precision into appropriated books
Felix Art Fair
One of my favourite moments was coming across Olivia Erlanger’s lizard tongue at Soft Opening
Felix Art Fair
At CANADA gallery we admired Katherine Bernhardt’s ET painting which brought back so many happy memories
Felix Art Fair
Floating into the room was this Michael Seri design, a relief from art art art!
Felix Art Fair
At Mother’s Tank Station I was touched by the work of Atsushi Kaga called ‘Smoothie in Callan’. Now, that’s quite enough of art fairs for one day!
