We arrived in Miami and headed straight to a beautiful dinner, hosted by our friends, for Tate and Guggenheim. There was a wonderful performance by Michelangelo Pistoletto and we were all enamored by the perfect anatomy
Art Basel did not have that many surprises. I did, however, like the artist Steffen Bunte at Peres Projects
Then at Galleryskye was the artist Sudarshan Shetty showing his beautiful vases
There was a beautiful wheel by Olafur Eliasson called ‘Colour Experiment 31’
I loved the Ai Weiwei’s study of perspective in glass
Another great work by Louisa Gagliardi, ‘In Hot Water’
Over at Herald St was one of the best Michael Dean’s ‘lol’ I have seen to date. Colour and loads and loads of hands!
At JTT Jamian Juliano-Villani had an amazingly festive work which we loved
And finally the biggest joy was seeing the wonderful Issy Wood displaying a leather coat at Carlos/Ishikawa, total showstopper
